| I am the applications engineer who will be assisting you.
|
| Maxim does not provide or support full-featured GUI applications
| for iButtons running on OSX.
|
| That said, independent from Maxim, there has been a port of the
| OneWireViewer to OSX (that has been shown to work with our
| DS9490R USB adapter).
|
| See the following Monarch Watch forum post:
|
|
http://www.monarchwatch.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=677|
| I have tried this on my iMac at home running Tiger (old version
| of OSX) and it works (but keep in mind that we will not support
| you directly for this program if you try this)...
|
| The Monarch post is a bit out-of-date as it does not provide a
| libusb build for OSx 10.5.x or later. But there are pre-compiled
| libusb packages for OSx located here:
|
|
http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/|
| Look for the pre-compiled LibUSB packages (4th row in the only
| table on the web page). You can find downloads for Tiger,
| Leopard, and Snow Leopard (unsure about Lion).
|
| If the above does not work for you, we do supply some software
| development kits. One kit in particular does have some data
| logger example command-line based programs. Feel free to take a
| look at our Public Domain Kit software (look at "humalog" and
| "thermo" programs):
|
http://files.dalsemi.com/auto_id/public ... X310r2.zip| (they are command-line and have not been verified to work under
| Leopard and up).
|
| Specifically, take a look at the following OSX binary builds
| (which will have several example programs to try out):
|
| USB:

| Serial:
