I'm packing for a week away and trying to keep my clothes to a small set that works together. I am choosing between a cool navy top, a softer blue one, and two neutral layers. What makes this tricky is that the colors seem quite different in my bedroom than they do beside a window. In indoor pictures the navy loses its blue tone, so I don't want to make the whole decision from pictures. I found a
color analysis page as one possible starting point, but I would still like to check the actual clothes against my face. Would you test them near a window at midday, or is there a better way to keep the lighting consistent? I can also hold up plain white fabric to see whether the blues change how my skin looks. I am not trying to assign myself a season from one photo. I just want a repeatable check before I leave out something useful. If you have compared similar shades before, which difference would you pay attention to first: the color itself, the shadows on the face, or how easily the pieces combine?
